MRU File Manager - freeware. REQUIRES WINDOWS 3.1 or above !!! M(ost) R(ecently) U(sed) File Manager is a cross between Windows File Manager and Windows Program Manager. I constantly found myself getting in and out of both just to work with the few apps I use all day long. The app was written in Visual Basic and includes a help system. I would suggest that you create a new subdirectory on your hard drive and unzip the file in that directory. If you follow this suggestion, please remember to set the Working Directory to the path of this new subdirectory. Zip file contents are as follows: 1. mrufile.exe MRU File Manager executable 2. mrufile.hlp Help system for MRU 3. ctlhwnd.dll gets handle of control 4. frames.dll draws 3-d frame around control 5. hlpkey.dll allows app to trap f1 key for help 6. sysmenu.dll puts about in system menu 7. frmmain.mak MAK file 8. frmmain.frm main form 9. global.bas global file 10. frmabout.frm about box form 11. mrufile.bas subs, functions, and api stuff. 12. mrufile.hpj help project file 13. foldrs02.bmp bmp of open folder for contents page(help) 14. appicon.bmp bmp of apps on main window for help 15. mrufile.doc win 2.0 doc format of help file 16. mrufile.rtf rtf format of #15 above Files 1 through 6 (inclusive) above are the only files you need to run MRU File Manager. The other files (7 through 16) I have included so that anyone wanting to, can enhance the product. If you are only going to use the program and have no intention of changing it, you can delete items 7 through 16 from the directory. You will also need VBRUN100.DLL which may be found in the Microsoft Compuserve Visual Basic (Windows) Library. GO MSBASIC, lib #5. Feel free to enhance the product as you wish.
